The logistics committee at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) and Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) have signed a deal worth QR1.4bn for the supply of water and electricity to the Logistics Zone project located in the southern part of the country.
The agreement was signed by Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari, chairman of Kahramaa, and Fahad Rashid al-Kaabi, chief executive officer, the  Economic Zones
Company (EZC).
Aimed at promoting competitiveness in the commercial sector and encouraging the private sector to contribute effectively to the National Development Strategy in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030, the project is the largest logistics and industrial project in the south of the country.
