Wilfredo C Santos yesterday. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of transportation and the means to enhance it.
Serbia-Qatar talks
Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia Srdjan Verbic with Qatar’s ambassador in Belgrade, Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad al-Thani. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them.
Congratulations to Uzbekistan and Slovakia
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dr Islam Karimov on the occasion of the anniversary of his country’s Independence Day.
HH the Emir, HH the Deputy Emir and HE the Prime Minister also sent cables of congratulations to President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska on the occasion of his country’s National Day.
Strong winds forecast
Strong winds are expected in some parts of the country by mid-day today, the Met office has said. The office has also warned of strong winds and high seas in offshore areas. Winds ranging from 8-18kt have been forecast in inshore areas, going up to 22kt at some places by mid-day.
Conference on use of water
Sustainable use of water in construction industry will be the focus of a conference in Doha on September 9 at the Grand Hyatt Doha.
The conference assembles local experts from public and private sectors along with leading international companies.
The discussions will focus on sharing construction industry best practices, new technologies, regulations, compliance and delivering on the Qatar National Vision 2030 commitment to becoming the world leader in sustainable construction technologies.
