HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a written message from President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, pertaining to bilateral ties between the two countries and means to develop them.  
The message was handed to HE Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah when he met  Afghan Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Husam al-Din Hamrah in Doha yesterday.

Qatar reiterates support to Kuwait

Qatar has strongly condemned the terror plot which aims to destabilise the security and stability of Kuwait, stressing that Kuwait’s security is an integral part of that of the GCC states.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed that the State of Qatar stands with the State of Kuwait and fully supports all security measures taken by Kuwait to preserve its security and stability.
The statement praised the Kuwaiti security agencies for uncovering and dismantling the criminal and terror cell as well as in confiscating a huge arsenal of ammunition and explosives that were in the cell’s possession.

Customs chairman meets Swiss envoy


Chairman of the General Authority of Customs Ahmed bin Ali al-Mohannadi met the ambassador of Switzerland to Qatar Martin Ashbachr.
They discussed the implementation of the free trade agreement between European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and members of the GCC. The agreement came officially into force recently.  
They also discussed issues related to bilateral economic relations.
The two sides also addressed several matters relating to customs work and its role in strengthening co-operation between the two countries and facilitating the movement of trade.

Turkish deputy PM meets Qatar envoy

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus met Qatar’s ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak al-Shafi in Ankara yesterday. They discussed Qatari-Turkish relations and means of developing them, in addition to regional and international developments.

Real estatetransactions

The total value of trading in real estate sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice from 09 to 13 August amounted to QR965,449,702.
According to the weekly bulletin issued by the department, the list of properties that were traded by sale includes open plots of land, houses and multi-purpose buildings.
