Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will be a main strategic sponsor of the Qatar International Medical Devices & Healthcare Exhibition and Conference (QMED), which will be held at the new Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from December 2 to 4.
The event will be held under the patronage of the Supreme Council of Health. HMC signed the sponsorship agreement with organisers Sogha Exhibitions & Conferences and London-based ExCo Media Ltd.
Speaking on the sponsorship, Ali Abdullah al-Khater, executive director of corporate communications at HMC, said: “This pursues the strategic goals set for national health. The services provided by HMC are now categorised as among the best in the world.”
Al-Khater indicated that HMC, being the sponsor of QMED, is planning to exhibit “state-of-the-art” innovations in the healthcare field as adopted by the corporation’s facilities across Qatar.
More than 100 national and international corporates and companies are expected to participate in the QMED expo, according to a statement from the organisers.
These include leading international and regional companies responsible for developing and providing medical devices and supplies for hospitals and medical laboratories.
The exhibition gives regional healthcare sector officials, as well as specialists from all over the world, an opportunity to gather and create a suitable atmosphere for companies to display state-of-the-art medical services innovations, the organisers have stressed.
