Luxury Swiss watchmaker Eberhard and Co has signed an agreement with Alfardan Jewellery to introduce its new collection of fine timepieces for connoisseurs at the latter’s boutique in Villaggio, Doha.
The Qatar debut is of significant importance to Eberhard as the country is quickly gaining the reputation of being a major market for bespoke luxury goods and Qatari watch enthusiasts are renowned for their love of high-quality timepieces, a spokesman for the Swiss watchmaker said.
To mark its entry into Qatar, Eberhard has featured a special piece in its display collection. The special-edition Gilda Gran Pave Gold is an “exquisite jewel of a watch designed to adorn the wrist of a lady”. This “stunning piece of horological perfection has more than eight carats of diamonds on its case and bracelet and is the piece de resistance of the Doha collection”, the spokesman said.
“We are extremely pleased to make our debut in such an important market as Qatar. We are also fortunate to be able to partner with such a significant player in the business as Alfardan Group, which is among the pioneers of the luxury business in the region,” said Mario Peserico, general manager of Eberhard.
The Alfardan Jewellery boutique specialises in bespoke luxury offerings and is centrally located in the
Italian-themed Villaggio mall.
The Eberhard and Co story has its beginnings in La Chaux-de-Fonds, a remote mountain town nestled in the Jura Mountains that has always been the heart of fine watchmaking.
