More than 80 Qatar Airways Cargo customers enjoyed the carrier’s annual Sohour event.

Qatar Airways Cargo held its annual Ramadan celebration recently hosting a Sohour for its airfreight partners at the Oryx Rotana Hotel, Doha.
Freight forwarders and cargo general sales agents from across Doha came together for the third year to honour this special time of year and to enjoy the traditions and spirit of Ramadan including Arabian cuisine served in an elegantly decorated Ramadan tent.  
The Qatar Airways Cargo Senior Management team, led by Chief Officer Cargo, Ulrich Ogiermann, welcomed more than 80 guests to the celebration.
Guests were also given the opportunity to enter a prize draw and one lucky winner took home a pair of Qatar Airways tickets to fly anywhere in the airline’s extensive global network choosing from one of more than 140 destinations.
Qatar Airways Cargo is the world’s fifth largest airfreight airline and operates one of the most modern fleets in the sky with eight B777Fs and six A330Fs. The airline recently announced a firm order for four B777 Freighters at the Paris Air Show on  June 18; this is in addition to an existing order for four B777Fs and two firm A330Fs with options for a further eight.
The cargo airline operates from its state-of-the-art hub Hamad International Airport, where its cargo terminal is one of the largest in the world.  Operating an advanced air cargo handling system, the cargo complex has a capacity to process 1.4mn tonnes of cargo per year and can accommodate 11 wide-body freighters with 42 airside loading docks to facilitate the swift and efficient transfer of cargo into and out of Qatar.
