A safety awareness campaign was hosted by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) in association with FIA for Road Safety, Qatar’s Traffic Department and riders in Qatar at the Doha Corniche on Tuesday night to promote the national strategy for traffic safety.
The four-hour event, which began around 8pm, was graced by Nasser Khalifa al-Attiyah, QMMF president and FIA vice-president, who lauded the
support of the 250 riders who participated.
Bikers staged a display of their bikes. There was also a competition for slow ride: riding a bike at the slowest speed and balancing with feet on the bike. The rider finishing last is the winner of the race.
Trophies were also awarded by al-Attiyah to winners in the following categories: classic bike, sport bike, customised bike, bike of the show, paint job, helmet, trike, rider and rusty bike.
