Qatar Airways has said it will continue its tradition of offering passengers special Iftar boxes consisting of local healthy delights throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The Iftar boxes are offered exclusively on board Qatar Airways-operated flights between Doha and the Gulf, the Middle East and the Levant countries during Iftar in both premium and economy class, and serves as an alternative to the regularly offered meals.

The Iftar box contains hummus, crudites, a vegetarian sandwich as well as a pack of the airline’s signature mixed fruit and nuts, in addition to water, laban, dates and Arabic sweets to enjoy when breaking the fast.

Premium class includes a chicken shawarma and vegetable saaj bread wraps and a banana, while economy class Iftar boxes include a vegetarian sandwich wrap with red pepper and falafel.

Qatar Airways senior vice-president (Customer Experience) Rossen Dimitrov said, “We continue to design excellent products that exceed Qatar Airways’ passengers’ expectations.

“The holy month of Ramadan is another special occasion during which we do our best to show our genuine hospitality and ensure that passengers who are fasting have a pleasant and seamless journey with us.”

Qatar Airways cabin crew will distribute Iftar boxes on flights to selected destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dammam, Dubai, Al Gassim, Hofuf, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Shiraz, Madinah, Jeddah, Najaf, Alexandria, Amman, Cairo, Salalah, Luxor, Khartoum, Mashhad and Ta’if.

Passengers who are not observing Ramadan will continue to enjoy Qatar Airways’ "five-star service" to any of the airline’s leisure and business destinations worldwide.
