The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has added 27 new online e-services on its website km.qa.

With this the number of online services on the site has shot up to 45. Besides ordinary customers, companies, consultants and contractors could also avail of the new services.

The new electronic services include disconnection, reconnection, meter removal, request for correction in meter reading, customer updating from Qatari to regular and vice versa.

The services for consultants and contractors include registration, request for materials certificate, trade license, and service connection. The new services are added to the reliable e-services including viewing of the utility bills and payment, service tracking, meter reading, certificates, and other business services of tenders, auctions, and awards, etc.

Customers can view e-services by visiting Kahramaa website km.qa, register or login, and avail of its wide range services.

According to a Kahramaa statement, the new services are meant to transform Kahramaa into a smart corporation where all transactions can be completed without visiting Kahramaa service centers.

Kahramaa has also launched an electronic service for customer to get “to whom it may concern” certificate defining the area of their residence as per electricity number. It could be useful for those applying for school admission for their children.

Companies could register on the site to receive tenders and submit documents online. The site provides other services including electricity and water tariff in Qatar riyals. Customers can also review and pay bills online.
