Qatar yesterday reiterated the need to combat terrorism as it is contrary to all principles and values and to all the teachings of the revealed religions.
Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives in Cairo yesterday, Qatar’s ambassador to Egypt and permanent representative to the Arab League, Saif bin Muqaddam al-Buainain, said that terrorism was unacceptable, whatever its causes, justifications and motives, expressing Qatar’s condemnation and denunciation to the explosion at Imam al-Sadeq Mosque in Kuwait as well as its full solidarity with Kuwait and its support to  measures taken by Kuwait to preserve its security and stability.
He added that “this criminal act, which did not respect the sanctity of the fasting month of Ramadan and the sanctity of places of worship, targeted a safe country and its people”.
He greeted Kuwaiti people and their leadership on their pledge to maintain the unity of their country.
He also expressed Qatar’s “strong condemnation” of the terrorist bombing that targeted a tourist hotel in Sousse, saying that it wanted to harm Tunisia’s security and its democratic process.
Al-Buainain stressed Qatar’s solidarity with Tunisia, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims in Tunisia and friendly countries.
He also expressed condemnation and denunciation to the attack which targeted a UAE relief convoy, in Mogadishu, Somalia, stressing Qatar’s solidarity with the UAE and Somalia.
