HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a telephone call from President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
Talks during the phone conversation dealt with bilateral relations between Qatar and Maritania and ways of boosting them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
Advisory Council’sservices panel holds meeting
The Advisory Council’s Public Services and Utilities Committee held its weekly meeting under its rapporteur Saqer Fahad al-Meraikhi.
The committee examined a draft law on conciliation of offences stipulated in some municipal laws.
HE the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Service Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning Sheikh Faleh bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani and Hamad Hadi al-Baridi, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry attended the meeting.
They explained the views of the ministry towards the draft law and responded to the committee’s inquiries.
The committee decided to submit its report to the Advisory Council.
Al-Rumaihi meets US official
HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi, met US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance, Frank A Rose in Doha yesterday. Talks dealt with bilateral relations.
