Qatari delegation to attend Arab Parliament session


A Qatari delegation comprising Advisory Council members Yusuf Rashid al-Khater and Mubarak Ghanem al-Ali as well as Arab Parliament member Dr Aisha Yusuf al-Mannai and legal adviser Dr Mohamed Ibrahim Shahbik will be attending the sixth and closing session of the Arab Parliament’s third regular annual session of its first legislative term today  at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The meeting is being held under the presidency of Arab Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Jarwan. Al-Jarwan stressed the significance of the session as it comes at the end of the legislative term, noting that it will focus on Arab developments in Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Libya and Iraq as well as the parliament’s recent activities.

Culture Minister opens Arts Lounge in Expo Milano

HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari  inaugurated the Arts Lounge in Qatar’s section of the Expo Milano 2015 on Friday.  The Minister said that everyone working on Qatar’s section in the expo was keen to reflect the country’s achievements under the wise vision of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.
The Minister lauded the efforts of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani for his role in highlighting Qatar at the expo.  Minister al-Kuwari said that culture in Qatar was seeing a prominence on par with the development the country is currently witnessing. He said that Qatar was keen on relations with different cultures.
