Qatar-Pakistan ties discussed
HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met the Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Doha yesterday.
They discussed aspects of co-operation and ways of enhancing and developing it in addition to issues of mutual interest.
A number of senior ministry officials attended the meeting.
Minister meets Uganda’s envoy
HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met Uganda’s ambassador to Qatar Rashid Yahya Ssemuddu yesterday.
They discussed aspects of co-operation between Qatar and Uganda and means of developing them.
Deputy Speaker leaves for Sudan
Advisory Council Deputy Speaker, HE Issa bin Rabia al-Kuwari, and his accompanying delegation left Doha yesterday for Khartoum to take part in the inauguration of the first session of the National Council of Sudan due today.
Qatar attends Sharjah conference
A conference on the strategic development of school theatre in the Arab region kicked off in Sharjah yesterday.
Organised by Arab Theatre Authority, the conference’s participants include the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage in Qatar, in addition to representatives from the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Sudan, Syria, Oman, and Palestine.
