HE the Minister of Transport Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti expressed pleasure at the graduation of a new batch of 52 Qataris and 46 non-Qataris from Qatar Aeronautical College (QAC) in the presence of a large number of parents and students during the graduation ceremony.
In a statement on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony hosted yesterday by QAC under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, HE al-Sulaiti said the graduates would support the aviation industry, meteorological industry and airport operations management.
He noted that the college has attained this status as a result of the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and vigorous follow-up by HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
HE al-Sulaiti affirmed that the ministry was committed to providing jobs for Qatari graduates in areas of their specialisation, whether in airport operations, meteorology or engineering departments, adding that the aviation field was becoming more attractive to female students.
Speaking at the event, QAC director-general Ali Ibrahim al-Malki extended his greetings to HH the Emir and Qatari officials for opening the door to Qataris to gain more learning skills and knowledge, noting that the world is in need of 5mn additional jobs in the aviation industry by 2030, which requires bridging the deficit in the global aviation industry.
