The organisers of Qatar International Medical Congress (QIMC) 2015 have announced that the event will be held for an additional day today, from 2pm to 10pm.
Those who have not able to attend the first three days of QIMC 2015 can access all areas of the exhibition and discover the latest products, techniques and services from leading exhibitors, according to a statement issued yesterday.
The organisers have described the event as a “massive success, marked by the overwhelming support and participation of exhibitors, sponsors and speakers as well as the impressive number of visitors who have attended the exhibition”.
Held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, QIMC 2015 has helped “bridge the gap between international researchers, experts and leading medical companies and Qatar’s leading entrepreneurs, doctors and researchers in the field on an ideal networking platform to discuss the latest, cutting-edge products, services and technologies in the medical sector”, the statement adds.
One of the event’s highlights was the gala dinner, which closed the first day.
Sponsored by Sharq Medical Supply, the setting honoured QIMC 2015’s sponsors with certificates and hosted numerous exhibitors, decision-makers and participants, who extended their networking and discussions well into the dinner.
Dr Hanan al-Kuwari, managing director of Hamad Medical Corporation, one of the strategic partners, attended the third day of the event. She visited every stand.
Congress CEO Abdullah AbdulRazzak Haider said, “We are absolutely overwhelmed and honoured at the degree of attention and interest that was given to QIMC 2015. The quality and level of participation is above what we expected.
“Most importantly, I would like to thank each and every strategic partner, sponsor, exhibitor and health support, who gave their full dedication and support to this event.”
On behalf of the event’s organising company Art & Art, general manager Rabih Karam said: “We are very pleased with the outcome of QIMC 2015. I would like to thank all the staff who worked day and night on making this event a success.”
