HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani presiding over a meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment at the Emiri Diwan yesterday. The meeting, the council’s second this year, was attended by HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani, the council’s vice-chairperson, and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, the council’s executive member. HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi, who is the council’s secretary-general, said in a statement to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the meeting discussed topics tabled on its agenda, especially on the follow-up of the council’s previous resolutions and procedures, and was briefed on the latest developments in energy and investment affairs.
