The International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) has stepped up support for travellers at the Hamad International Airport (HIA) with four 24-hour ATMs located around the airport, the bank said in a statement.
IBQ head of Retail Banking Hassan al-Mulla said: “At IBQ, we want to make it easy for our customers and the travelling public to have access to different currencies through ATMs at the airport. If they are late for their flights or in a hurry, they can simply proceed to IBQ’s ATMs and obtain cash directly in any of the available currencies.”
Al-Mulla said three ATMs are located at the Passenger Terminal Complex, namely Arrivals Baggage Reclaim Area, Departures Concourse B (multicurrency), and the Taxi Pavilion.
Another machine can be found inside Qatar Airways Operations Centre near the HIA Cargo Terminal (multicurrency).
He added: “As one of the most security and safety-conscious banks in Qatar, we would also advise all travellers to heed our general IBQ security tips on how to securely use their bank cards especially when travelling.
“We recommend travellers use ATMs under video surveillance and those located inside bank lobbies. Cardholders should protect their pin by never disclosing it and shielding the numbers carefully. Finally, we would strongly advise people to never give their card to anyone but keep it securely for their own use only.”
