The traffic on the two sections of Al Ghaws Street between Al Khor Corniche Roundabout and Al Khor beach will be closed for about two months starting tomorrow (May 27).
Ashghal said it is being done as part of the sewerage network construction works on the Al Khor Commercial Street.
The closure on the nearly 250m stretch in each section will restrict traffic as shown on the attached map.
During the closure period, one lane will remain open to traffic in the middle of the road between the two closed sections in the direction from the Al Khor beach to Al Khor Corniche Roundabout. Drivers could use the local roads in the area to go around during the closure period.
The roads and infrastructure development in Al Khor Commercial Street is one of the Local Roads and Drainage Programme projects to develop the existing infrastructure and building an integrated infrastructure in the new locations all over the country.
