Interactive Business Network (IBN) has announced that Commercial Bank is supporting the first-ever edition of the Mind Mapping Seminar in Qatar as silver sponsors.
The one-day course, which is to be presented by Tony Buzan, a renowned mind mapping genius and expert on the brain, memory, speed-reading, creativity and innovation, is being organised by IBN.
The seminar is scheduled for June 8, from 9am to 5pm, at La Cigale Hotel, Doha.
Acknowledged and named by Forbes magazine as one of the top five speakers in the world, Buzan is expected to leave a lasting impression on participants with his expertise on the subject, along with his distinct and engaging speaking ability.
Sharoq al-Malki, EGM and chief human capital officer of Commercial Bank, said: “We aim to provide our employees with quality learning opportunities that will enable them to be innovative and forward thinking so that they continue to support the growth and success of Commercial Bank in achieving its strategic objectives, as well as to invest in developing the human resources to support Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Described as a powerful graphic technique that provides a universal key to unlock the potential of the brain, mind mapping harnesses the full range of cortical skills - word, image, number, logic, rhythm, colour and spatial awareness - in a single, uniquely powerful manner. It also gives a person the freedom to roam the infinite expanses of the brain, which can be applied to every aspect of one’s life, where improved learning and clearer thinking enhance human performance.
“We believe that organising such a unique event in Qatar will significantly enhance the participants’ performance, which in turn will reflect positively on the companies as a whole in today’s competitive market,” said Raed Chehaib, CEO of IBN.  “We are thankful to Commercial Bank for their support and sponsorship of this pioneering seminar.”
The four-part seminar will deal with topics that include “know your brain”, “harness your brain power”, “the essential mind tools for great brains” and “the core skill for efficient learning”.
