HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah held a session of talks yesterday with Prime Minister of the Republic of Somalia Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke during his visit to the country.
During the session, they discussed relations between the two countries and means of developing them, in addition to matters of mutual concern. Al-Attiyah confirmed the State of Qatar’s keenness to enhance relations with the Republic of Somalia in various fields, for the benefit of the two countries and their brotherly people.
The Somali prime minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the visit, and hoped that relations would see a further development, growth and  prosperity in all fields.
Charge d’Affaires at the Qatari embassy in Mogadishu Hassan bin Hamza Assad Mohamed and member of the delegation accompanying the foreign minister attended the meeting.Meanwhile, the President of the Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud also met yesterday with Qatar’s foreign minister. Talks during the meeting focused on bilateral relations, in addition to issues of common interest.
