Ooredoo has reached the milestone of 3mn mobile customers, as the company continues to offer a wide portfolio of services on its bigger and faster network.
In 2014, Ooredoo announced the achievement of 3mn total customers, which included fixed, mobile and other services. Now the company has reached more than 3mn customers using mobile services, a “truly ground-breaking accomplishment” for the national telecom company.
Ooredoo director (Community & Public Relations) Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari said: “Ooredoo believes in investing in the best technology, infrastructure, and employees to provide our customers with the best possible experience, which is why our network is the fastest in Qatar and the only one that can reach up to 225 Mbps. This 3mn milestone is a huge achievement for our Hala, Shahry and mobile Internet service, and we promise to continue to offer the latest and fastest services in the country.”
As well as Ooredoo’s popular pre-paid (Hala) and post-paid (Shahry) services, the company offers top speeds for all mobile Internet users with its 4G network offering 96% outdoor coverage - an unmatched service in Qatar - and up to 225 Mbps, nearly double the average speed in areas of Doha, for its 4G+ Network.
The 4G+ network offers customers access to superfast mobile Internet so they can take advantage of a smooth browsing experience to stay in touch, check e-mails, video call, and more.
Ooredoo is Qatar’s leading communications company, delivering mobile, fixed, broadband Internet and corporate managed services tailored to the needs of consumers and businesses.
