Commercial Bank hosted a day of fun activities and entertainment for its staff and families at the Museum of Islamic Art Park recently. The event was organised to thank the staff and celebrate the bank’s 40th anniversary.
Families enjoyed a variety of activities including caricaturists, balloon benders, face painters, clowns and an origami artist in a specially constructed fun zone, with Arabic, Indian and international foods available.
Stage performers entertained the crowd and Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi led an awards ceremony for long-serving staff. Two employees were honoured for 40 years of service, four employees for over 30 years of service and 36 employees for over 20 years. Commercial Bank also has more than 321 employees celebrating 10 to 19 years of service.
Al-Raisi said: “I can’t say how much I am proud of Commercial Bank’s role in developing Qatar’s banking sector and bringing it up to a very high level for our esteemed customers. This could not have been done without you, your contributions and support.”
The official continued: “On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my privilege to extend my thanks and gratitude to all of you. A special thank you goes to our large number long-serving employees in the bank for the service you have given to promote Commercial Bank as a leading institution and our unique banking services. I also want to thank your families for their supportive role in helping us promote and achieve the objectives of the bank.”
Sharoq al-Malki, chief human capital officer, EGM, Commercial Bank, said: “Commercial Bank’s employees are our most valued asset and this family fun day is testament to the bank’s continued efforts in investing and developing its human capital, our desire to reward staff, and our spirit of community within the workplace.”
