HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah yesterday met the Turkish Minister of Defence Ismet Yilmaz on the sidelines of the International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2015), which was opened yesterday in Istanbul by President Recep Tayyib Erdogan.
The meeting reviewed issues of mutual interest and aspects of military co-operation between Qatar and Turkey.
HE al-Attiyah also met yesterday with Turkish land forces commander General Hulusi Akar on the sidelines of the event. They exchanged views on issues of common concern.
Qatar’s ambassador to Turkey Salem bin Mubarak al-Shafi attended the meetings along with the delegation accompanying the minister and a number of Turkish officials.
