Doha will host on Saturday a meeting for the GCC Financial and Economic Committee under the chairmanship of HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi.
The committee is scheduled to take a number of decisions to strengthen financial and economic co-operation between the GCC member-states within the context of the completion of the GCC common market project and the promotion of the economic integration.
The meeting’s agenda includes topics aimed at enhancing economic and financial relations between the member-countries. It will discuss and take appropriate decisions in relation to the uniform tax system for the GCC countries, and reports on the meetings of the committee of governors and heads of monetary and banking institutions in GCC countries, as well as the customs union authority and the customs union committee.
Meanwhile, undersecretaries of GCC finance ministries will hold their 6th meeting in Doha today to discuss a memo by the GCC General Secretariat on the joint meeting of the unified tax system and the legal working team in the GCC countries.
The undersecretaries of GCC finance ministries committee is scheduled to present its recommendations to the Financial and Economic Committee.
