Sharp Middle East and Almuftah Trading has showcased its full portfolio of products at the 12th Project Qatar exhibition which opened yesterday at Qatar National Convention Centre.
Continuing to introduce market-leading products to the Qatar market, Sharp offers consumer, visual and healthcare products, and solutions for the construction industry.
“We are excited to be at Project Qatar to showcase what we have to offer the construction industry,” said Fumio Yamaguchi, managing director at Sharp Middle East and Africa.
Almuftah Group managing director Ibrahim Almuftah pointed out that the Group has already participated in the economic growth of the country in the past 50 years.
“We are proud to be a part of the run up to the FIFA 2022 World Cup. We continue to diversify in light of the country’s infrastructure needs.”
The products on show includes high-definition displays, home appliances and business solutions that combine modernity, simplicity in design and intelligent innovation that cater to the various construction projects that are currently being built in Qatar.
Sharp’s consumer portfolio  being demonstrated at Project Qatar include the latest air conditioner using R-410A, a new refrigerant with low environmental impact, offering greater energy efficiency and can be used in lower volume.
AQUOS LED TVs are also displayed to showcase Sharp’s unique and exclusive technology, Quattron Pro, with 10mn more subpixels than standard Full HD TVs for more detail, depth, and colour. Other displays include full range of home appliances such as the premium 4 Door refrigerators, a wide range of microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners.
Sharp has also displayed the industry’s first infrared colour night-vision camera capable of capturing colour video in pitch-dark environments. Beyond deployment in conventional anti-theft cameras, it will find use in a broad range of applications, for example, in monitoring patients in hospitals and nursing homes.
Visual solutions on display at the event include 90” LED Monitor (PN-R903) that has a full LED backlight as well as  60” and 70” Intelligent Touch Boards, which allow the managing and sharing of information between screens.
The healthcare solutions showcased at Project Qatar aims to provide a cleaner, healthier environment as Sharp’s air purifiers have been tested in world-class scientific labs and have proven to eradicate air-borne microbes such as viruses, dust mites and protect users from airborne allergen.
