The 10th anniversary celebrations of Safari Hypermarket on Salwa Road will be held this evening.
Customers could take part in an array of events and drop in their lucky coupons to take home several prizes, said an official of the Safari Group, which also runs Safari Mall in Abu Hamour and Safari Shopping Center in Umm Salal.
“We are happy at the progress that Safari Group … has made in the past decade,” said managing director Aboobacker Madappatt.
To coincide with the anniversary, there will be “Kuttanadan Food Festival”. Free face-painting, balloon twisters, music shows, painting competition for children are also scheduled.
The events are held at all three outlets of Safari Group.
“Hourly gift vouchers” is another highlight of the celebrations.
Gift vouchers with the face value of QR250 would be issued every hour on all five days till May 9.
There is also the ongoing promotion offering the chance to win five Nissan Patrol SUVs with a minimum purchase of QR50. The promotion continues until the end of July.
Free recall campaign for Lexus SUVs
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced a free recall campaign for Lexus 570 SUVs made from 2008 to 2010. This is a preventive measure to update the electronic smart stop system, which gradually reduces speed and brings the vehicle to a complete stop when pressing the brake pedal, even if the accelerator pedal gets stuck for any reason. The campaign is conducted in co-operation with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Company, the authorised distributor of Lexus vehicles in Qatar.
