HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani has stressed the importance of the 2015 Mini-Census of Population, Housing and Establishment in providing accurate data and information to formulate development plans and strategies.  
Speaking after providing his data and those of his family, in the presence of HE the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) Dr Saleh Mohamed Salem al-Nabit, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior said that the development plans and strategies depend greatly on accurate information collected through the census of population, housing and establishment, adding that the outcome of the census will help decision-makers and planners to formulate development plans and improve services and public utilities in line with the urban and population growth and the geographical distribution.  
The Prime Minister urged Qataris, non-Qataris and owners of companies and establishments in Qatar to co-operate with data collectors and provide them with all information required for the census.   
HE the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) Dr Saleh Mohamed Salem al-Nabit briefed the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior on the progress of field work to collect data for the census.
He also praised the co-operation of households, individuals and companies with data collectors, as well as the co-operation of families who filled in census questionnaires online through the ministry’s website.
The 2015 Mini-Census of Population, Housing and Establishment began on April 1 and will continue till the end of May.
