A middle-aged man was fatally knocked down by a speeding vehicle on the C-Ring Road, between Gulf Cinema and Muntazah signals, on Saturday evening.
Unconfirmed reports said the deceased was an Asian expatriate, most probably from the Indian subcontinent.
A source said the victim died on the spot. However, details of the incident are not known. Expansion work is still under way on the stretch of the road where the accident took place.
