Gulf Times photographer Jayaram has won the fifth prize in the photography contest organised by Qatar Cycling Federation (QCF) and Qatar Photographic Society (QPS) in connection with the recent Tour of Qatar.
QCF president Sheikh Khalid bin Ali al-Thani gave away the prizes at an event earlier this week at the QPS hall at Katara, the Cultural Village. The best eight photos of each category were selected as winners of prizes totalling QR50,000. The winning photos will be shown at an exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the World Cycling Championship in Richmond, US. A total of 350 pictures were received for the contest.
