The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia has received the credentials of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Thamir al-Thani as Qatar’s Ambassador to Riyadh.
The ambassador conveyed the greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and his wishes to the Saudi people of further progress and  prosperity.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques reciprocated the Emir’s greetings, and wished the State of Qatar continued progress, development and prosperity.

Minister leads Qatar  team to Cairo meeting
HE the Minister of Administrative Development Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi left yesterday for Egypt leading Qatar’s delegation to the 52nd extraordinary general assembly meeting of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO), due to be held today.
The ARADO general assembly meeting’s agenda includes the executive council’s recommendation for the endorsement of the agreement establishing the Arab Administrative Development Organisation, election of members of the financial and administrative authority’s members from among the general assembly members and the election of the Organisation’s Director-General during the period from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2019.

Advisory Council committee meets
The Advisory  Council’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee met yesterday. The meeting was chaired by its rapporteur Mohamed Ajaj al-Kubaisi.
The committee completed study of a draft law on the issuance of a law regulating tenders in the presence of adviser at the Ministry of Finance Mohamed Abdul Karim al- Mir, Director of the Procurement Department at the Ministry of Finance Abdulaziz Zaid al-Talib and Legal Adviser at the Ministry  Dr Sami Salama Nu’man who explained the views of the Ministry of Finance on the draft law and responded to related enquiries by the committee’s members.
The committee decided to submit its report on the draft law to the Advisory Coun

Ministry registers violations in real estate design
The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has recorded violations against several real estate projects under construction due to non-compliance with engineering designs and specifications approved by the authorities, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The violations detected by inspectors include making certain changes, increasing specified areas and building additional floors without the necessary approval, the daily said.
Sources said the inspectors have pasted stickers notifying the violations and issued notices to the parties concerned. Changes have been made in a number of real estate projects in terms of their approved area, design, number of floors, engineering specifications and colour, and action will be taken in such cases, the report said.

Concern over delay in beach clean-up
A number of visitors to Ras Matbakh and Iraidha have expressed displeasure over the “delay” in removing waste from beaches, after the end of the camping season, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
Concerned visitors have stressed the importance of prompt removal of waste by teams from the Ministry of Environment.

Workshop on IP, creativity
The Department of Protection of Intellectual Property Rights at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce is set to organise a training workshop on “Intellectual property and creativity” on April 26-27. The workshop will be held in co-operation with the GCC Patent Office, to mark the World Intellectual Property Day.
