Qatar Chamber (QC) is set to launch a book on “Qatari achievements in occupational safety” to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28.
The book will focus on the achievements and good practices of a large number of companies that work in the country in enhancing safety at work place.
QC will mark the day in a major celebration in the presence of ministers of state, businessmen and QC board members, in addition to a number of directors and CEOs of major local and international companies in the country. Safety excellence awards will be presented to distinguished companies during the celebration.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, QC chairman, said that observing the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, affirms the eagerness of the country and the entities concerned to ensure the well being of workers, who are a great human wealth that drives forward the economy of the country.
“QC has always been active in urging companies and the private sector, in particular, to provide their workers with adequate safety training on  a regular basis and create for them a better work environment, which would reflect positively on the overall economy of the country,”
he added.
