HE the Attorney General Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri signed an agreement with assistant secretary-general and assistant administrator at the United Nations Development Programme yesterday.  
The agreement aims to provide training to judges, lawyers and prosecutors in Africa in order to promote combating corruption.
The Attorney General said after the signing that Qatar will partner with the UN in everything related to the training courses. He added the courses will have their own budget contributed to by the participating parties in Africa and Qatar.

Emir issues law on commercial activity

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday law No 5 of 2015 regarding commercial and industrial stores and street vendors.   
The law is effective starting from its date of publication in the official gazette.

Emir ratifies Cabinet decisions
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani ratified several Cabinet decisions related to real estate expropriation for public interest.

Instruments of ratification
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued the following instruments of ratification:
1. Approving a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Qatar and Ecuador on avoiding double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion on income taxes. The MoU was singed on October 22, 2014.  
2. Approving a draft agreement on aerial services between the government of Qatar and the government of Gambia. The draft agreement was signed on November 18, 2014.
3. Approving a twinning agreement between the municipality of Al Wakrah city and that of Djougou in Benin. The agreement was signed on November 12, 2014.

Emir appoints ambassador
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has issued Emiri decision No 16 of 2015 appointing Mubarak Nasser Mubarak al-Khalifa as ambassador to Georgia.
The decision is effective starting from its date of publication in the official gazette.

Emiri decision issued
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued Emiri decision No 17 of 2015 establishing Naufar Centre under the Supreme Council of Health (SHC). The centre will be recognised as a legal entity with a budget belonging to the Supreme Health Council. The centre’s headquarters will be in Doha.  
The law is effective starting from its date of publication in the official gazette.

Qatar-France ties reviewed
HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah met the Foreign Minister of France Laurent Fabius in Paris yesterday.
They discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.

Transport Minister meets ICBC chief
HE the Minister of Transport Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti met here yesterday with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Chairman Jiang Jianquing.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations.


Whatsapp job announcement untrue: QC
What has been circulating recently on Whatsap about Qatar Chamber announcing some vacancies and the need of QC to recruit new employees is totally untrue, a QC official statement has said.
The statement said QC does not use the means of social media to announce vacancies it has or its requests to recruit new staff. The chamber, the statement stressed, uses only its official website and local papers to announce any vacancies.

Temperature likely to rise
Temperatures are expected to go up marginally today, the weather office said yesterday and forecast strong winds.
The day is likely to remain relatively hotter, slightly dusty and partly cloudy to hazy.
Visibility across the country will be between 4 and 9km.
The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 35 and 22 degrees.
