There will be a significant fall in the temperatures today compared to the climatic conditions that the country experienced yesterday, the Met office has said, adding that the conditions may continue to prevail till Friday.
The weatherman has said the expected maximum temperature today will be between 30 and 32 degrees while the minimum may vary between 19 and 22 degrees. Yesterday’s maximum temperature was 37 degrees.
The weather office has attributed the changing conditions to the formation of a high pressure belt across the country, extended from the North Western Saudi Arabian region. The winds will be accompanied with blowing dust and sands especially in the open areas which could result in lesser visibility.
The winds may be a little stronger from the evening onwards and could vary between 17 and 25 knots on the inshore areas. At times, it could hit beyond the 35 knots-mark.
On the offshore areas, the winds may hover around the 38 knots-mark at times even though it may generally vary between 20 and 30 degrees.
The increased winds may also contribute to a rise in sea heights to eight to 12 feet.
