HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani was accorded a red carpet reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan presidential palace in New Delhi on Wednesday morning.
The Emir is on a state visit to India.
HH the Emir was welcomed on arrival at the palace by President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Later, HH the Emir met with India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and her accompanying delegation at HH the Emir's residence in New Delhi.
Talks during the meeting covered bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, as well as the latest developments in the region.
A number of Their Excellencies and members of the official delegation attended the meeting.
