Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi yesterday signed a contract with Ebla Computer Consultancy to digitise land registry services.
The project is part of Qatar e-Government 2020 strategy. The project aims to connect electronically all state components related to the land registry process.
The minister said the project will result in a qualitative leap at the ministry and the services it provides to the public.
He added that the project was in line with the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to facilitate services to citizens.
The project also contributes to Qatar National Vision 2030.
He thanked young Qataris who worked on the planning phase of the project.
Electronic land registry will have smart phone applications so citizens have a safe and accurate data of their real estate possessions.

Albanian President Bujar Nishani yesterday met at the St Regis Doha Hotel Speaker of the Advisory Council HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi. The meeting dealt with ways of enhancing parliamentary relations between Qatar and Albania. The meeting was attended by the general secretary of the Council Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayareen, Qatar’s Ambassador to Albania Yousef bin Hassan al-Saai, and Albanian Ambassador to Qatar Edmond Chasha.
Meanwhile, HE the Minister’s Assistant for International Co-operation Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met with Albania’s Deputy Minister Selim Belortaja, who is in Doha as part of a delegation accompanying the Albanian president. They discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance them.
