Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has opened a new branch at The Pearl-Qatar.
The opening is part of the bank’s expansion strategy to provide better services to customers and comes as QIB seeks to attract new customers in all vital areas and strategic locations throughout the country, according to a statement.
The new branch is located in Medina Centrale, Al Hamra Street, Gate 9, the town centre of The Pearl-Qatar and a hub for high-end amenities and facilities.
The branch at The Pearl-Qatar will be open from Sunday to Thursday, 11am to 6pm. Customers will be able to open a variety of bank accounts, apply for a suite of financing, debit and credit cards, discuss a host of Takaful services and consult on other Islamic banking services with a specialised team of staff.
The new branch is designed with customer convenience as a standout feature. The open-plan layout provides more welcoming space, while the use of colours adds to a modern business experience, according to the statement. The branch comes with an ATM.
The opening of the branch at The Pearl-Qatar brings the number of QIB’s local branches to 30, backed by over 165 ATMs all over the country. The expansion of the branch network is accompanied by advanced electronic services provided by QIB, such as online banking and the mobile banking application available on all smartphone platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows), as well as the QIB call centre operating round the clock.
D Anand, general manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group, explained that the opening of the new branch goes hand in hand with Qatar’s substantial growth, which has prompted QIB to expand in the local market to offer banking services to its customers regardless of their location.
“The new addition will allow us to better serve our customers and enhance our strategic vision in terms of offering comprehensive banking services to people from all walks of life. Those services, coupled with our continuous investment in alternative channels, such as online banking, our mobile banking application, our call centre and IVR, help QIB provide a seamless banking experience and offer premium services to customers,” said Anand.
