The General Directorate of Civil Defence conducted a mock drill at Al Bidda tower, the headquarters of Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy yesterday.
The operations started as the Civil Defence centre received information about the outbreak of mock fire at the 32nd floor of the building. The fire rescue team in Wadi Sail rushed to the scene with all equipment and managed to control the fire.The employees were evacuated from the building and guided to the assembly point through emergency exits.
The rescue team started search operation for missing or injured persons and found three persons “injured”. The ambulance team and Al Fazaa Police also took part in the operation.
The mock drills were conducted as part of the GDCD’s plans to create awareness about safety measures and train the people on how to address risks during a fire.
