Deputy heads of Supreme Courts and Courts of Cassation in the GCC nations concluded their two-day meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Doha yesterday. The meeting issued recommendations that included a draft strategic plan in addition to a co-operation plan in the field of judicial inspection and set a five-year to implement it. The meeting decided to assign a committee to study a paper submitted by Kuwait’s Court of Cassation, pertaining to training judges of Supreme Courts and Courts of Cassation in the GCC countries. It also asked the GCC Secretariat General to prepare a note on a decision of the Supreme Council taken at the 34th GCC Summit in Kuwait and to start a permanent programme for youth in the GCC countries handling relief and humanitarian work.
