The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority President, HE Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, will be honoured as the 2014 CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Person of the Year tomorrow at the launch ceremony of “CSR Report Qatar 2014” at Qatar University (QU) at 10am.
Al-Attiyah is the first to be handed the award which will become an annual tradition celebrating the most prominent figures to contribute in CSR.
Ministers, professors and all the ambassadors, partners, sponsors and guests who contributed to the report are also to be honoured on the occasion.
This is the third edition of the CSR report that Qatar CSR Network releases in collaboration with QU, the academic partner. The report is the main reference in monitoring, documenting and identifying the indicators of CSR in Qatar.
Qatar CSR Report will also honour the partners and contributors, government agencies and private and multinational organisations, including: The Ministry of Transport, Qatar Central Bank, Civil Aviation Authority and a number of Qatar Foundation institutions such as the Doha International Family Institute, Best Buddies Qatar, Qatar Academy, Shafallah, and Qatar Diabetes Association, alongside Ihsan, Asthma Qatar Network and Qatar Centre for Voluntary Activities.
The major companies and institutions sponsoring the report include: ExxonMobil, Qafac, Mowasalat, Qatar Ports, Qatalum, Sasol Qatar, Oryx GTL, Qafco, Doha Bank, Abdullah Abdul Ghani Bros., Boeing, Morgan Stanley, Mohamed Hamad Al Mana Group of Companies, Manateq, McDonald’s Qatar, Al Meera, and Icon Interiors.
Academic figures have also contributed to the report.
