Doha Municipality launched an exhibition, titled ‘Together to protect our children from foodborne disease’, at its Al Sadd Plaza office on Sunday.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Nasser Abdullah al-Qahtani, assistant director of the municipal control department, in the presence of Noof AbdulRahman Maliki, director of the department of public services, Hamad Yousuf al-Maliki, head of health control, and a number of municipal officials and specialists.
The event, which aims to impart key health and food safety information, has been organised by the municipality’s health control department. Dr Shady Zeyadah, food expert at Doha Municipality, gave an explanation about the exhibition and its objectives. The event features more than 60 independent and private schools, running from nine 9am until 12noon. There are 60 posters on display in the field of food safety, health and nutrition during trading, processing and storage of food and good eating habits.
