Chaumet, leading international watches and jewellery maker, is showcasing a number of classic collections at the Doha Watches and Jewellery Exhibition 2015, which concludes today at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
The collections have been displayed at the pavilion of Alfardan Jewellery, the exclusive dealers of the brand in the country.
According to the officials of Chaumet, its 2014 High Jewellery collection is a true technical prowess thanks to the excellent craftsmanship of the founder of the company in 1780 and passed on from one workshop master to another for 234 years.
Diane Hannouche, senior marketing executive of Chaumet, explained that the creations reveal the art of speaking the language of emotion with eyes and hands. “It is not just about setting stones on a necklace. It is also about movement so that the creation is at the service of women.”
She also pointed out that the creations are “light-as-air assembling, unexpected combinations of hard and precious stones; the work obeys the laws of intuition and excellence so that each piece is both supple and structured.”
According to Hannouche, the shimmering creations bear witness to the brand’s commitment to excellence. She noted that 600 to 800 hours of work are required for one necklace. At Chaumet, each jewel expresses both construction and emotion, with the drawing as first and ultimate master, she added.
