Q-Auto, the official dealer of Audi in Qatar, hosted a successful ‘quattro tour‘ road show at Ezdan Mall.
The event gave participants an opportunity to experience the renowned quattro technology, through a series of specially designed test drive exercises on a purpose-built course.
The exhibit brought together more than 231 car enthusiasts from across the country, who could test drive a range of models, including the Audi Q5, Q3, A5 and A3.
Audi professional drive instructors introduced the demonstration with an insight into the quattro technology followed by safety training for all participants.
The course involved structures and obstacles designed to give participants a full off-road handling experience of the quattro all-wheel drive system and to demonstrate some of the technical features on the Audi Q Models such as hill descent control.
Using a ‘brake and avoid‘ exercise, participants also tested the difference between front wheel drive and quattro cars, as well as the safety systems fitted to the vehicle, such as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and stability control.
Anthony Kwan, marketing manager, Audi Qatar, said the exhibit demonstrated Audi’s quattro drive technology to both regular drivers and car enthusiasts, offering them a hands-on experience of the brand’s effortless manoeuvrability and handling system.
“We are passionate about introducing our customers to a new level of driving experience through our exciting range of models that are available at our Audi showroom on Salwa road.”
Apart from the demonstration of the vehicles, the brand drew in a number of viewers at Ezdan Mall, through a premium Audi model showcase. Vehicles on display included a classic 1980 Rally car, RS4 sports sedan, S1 and the recently unveiled Audi Q7.
