The 12th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition starts at the Qatar National Convention Centre on Monday.

More than 500 globally acclaimed jewellers and watchmakers will exhibit their creations at the 12th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition starting at the Qatar National Convention Centre on Monday.
The six-day event to be held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani and hosted by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) will start receiving visitors from Tuesday.
Many new makers are making their debut at this year's event. Jaipur Gems and Diamantaires, both inspired by royal styles and have been in the industry since 1974, are taking part. They have appointed Tamara Gabbani as the Middle Eastern brand ambassador and collaborated with her to create a special collection for the region’s sophisticated customers.
Mouawad, a renowned jewel maker, is returning to the event with several dazzling collections, including two new ones, Silhouette and Source de Vie.
American jewellery designer extraordinaire David Webb is also back at the show. The heritage designs of Webb are being displayed for the first time in the Middle East. They are featured at the Norton Museum of Art’s retrospective show in Palm Beach, Florida.
Lalique and Alfardan Jewellery will launch the “Sun of Gaia” collections in the Middle East. Lalique’s Art Nouveau and Art Deco signature styles reveal several precious and unique jewellery designs, which are now part of a collection of more than 200 jewellery pieces.
Doha’s lifestyle department store Fifty One East has a brilliant spread of luxury jewellery and watch brands. The store’s pavilion will showcase ranges from Boucheron, Bremont, Brioni, Chanel, H Moser & Cie, Hueb Jewellery, Jean Paul Menicucci, Laviere, Pasquale Bruni, Pierre Germani, Roland Iten, Rolex, Tudor, Yvan Tuefenkjian, Graff, Boucheron, Suzanne Kalan and Faberge.
In the watches category, Jaeger Le-Coultre will introduce its timeless piece, Duomètre Sphérotourbillon Moon. The watchmaker is paying tribute to the age-old science of astronomy this year and this timepiece is a salute to the theme.
French luxury brand Chopard will unveil its L.U.C masterpieces while Richard Mille is ready to showcase its new RM19-02 Tourbillon Fleur for the first time in the Middle East. A Lange & Söhne is celebrating the 200th anniversary of its founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange with a presentation of a special dedicated timepiece. It will be showcased along with the brand’s current collection.
The Montblanc Heritage Spirit collection is enhanced by a new model that once again highlights the ambition of Montblanc to share the passion for fine watchmaking.
Savelli, the first luxury smartphone handcrafted in Switzerland, will be on view, along with Jardin Secret collections at the pavilion of Doha's AlMajed group.
QTA's director of exhibitions Hamad al-Abdan said this year's edition will exceed all expectations. "We feel proud to host so many reputable brands and their prestigious collections under one roof. We look forward to the grand opening tonight. Visitors will discover an amazing world of beautiful jewellery and watches, and the fascinating stories behind these collections.”
