HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met yesterday with Iranian Minister of Co-operatives, Labour and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei, who is visiting Qatar.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed co-operation between the two countries and means of boosting them in addition to issues of common concern.
A number of officials from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs attended the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Qatar Chamber (QC) officials held talks with the Iranian delegation led by Rabiei on ways to enhance trade co-operation and the role of the private sector and QC in the advancement of economic relations between two sides.
Deputy Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Tawar al-Kuwari and Rabiei discussed preparations for a Joint Iran-Qatar High Commission.
The Iranian team invited QC officials to visit the Iranian products exhibition and to strengthen the role of Rowais port that links trade between the two countries and benefit from the facilities of the port to enhance movement of import and export of products, especially of cement and gypsum.
Saleh al-Khulaifi and Ali Rabiei hold talks in Doha yesterday.
