Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, one of the largest retail companies in Qatar, is the gold sponsor of the book “Qatar Achievements on Vocational Safety.”
The book is to be published with the support of Qatar Chamber in collaboration with Sogha Advertisements on April 28 in conjunction with the celebrations of World Day for Safety and Health.
The companies listed in the book will highlight their achievements in the field of occupational safety, in order to share the successes and benefits.
In a statement, the Qatar Chamber announced that during the book launch, “Safety Award 2015” will be distributed to winners in all sectors, committed to implementing the best occupational safety standards and
requirements.
As one of the most important national companies that operate in the establishment and management of consumer associations, wholesale and retail food trade, Al Meera is keen on preserving the safety of food commodities in its different branches all over the state, for both local and
imported products.
Al Meera believes that such practices not only achieve the best quality for food items and beverages, but also reassure customers that the products they are consuming are free from any harmful substances. The company also works on importing food items and products that match Qatar’s food safety standards and that best suits human
consumption.
“Al Meera considers consumer safety as a top priority, with staff and employees engaged in a self-supervisory role within the workplace to comply with health and safety requirements. In fact, the company’s management is conducting training sessions for employees to raise awareness on health, provide excellent services to citizens and residents and establish a good relationship with consumers with different nationalities, habits and methods,” explained Dr Mohamed Nasser al-Qahtani, deputy CEO,

In order to achieve a wider spread that satisfies its customers, the company will be opening new malls in Jeryan Nejaima, Thakhira, Al Wakrah, Al Thumama, Al Wajba and Rawdat Ekdeem, Al Azizia, Muaither as well as a branch at a rented property in Gulf Mall during the first quarter, while Muraikh branch already had its soft  opening.
Al Meera is working in its full potential to get the construction phase of its 14 malls accomplished this year. The malls will be opening in Sailiya North, Umm Salal, Leabaib 1, Leabaib 2, Bu Sidra, Al Wakra2, Rawdat Aba El-Herran, Azghawa, Al Khor, Um Qarn, Rawdat Al Hamama, Jeryan Junaihat, Al Sailiya, and Ain Khaled.
