Qatar University’s (QU) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Science recently signed an agreement to establish co-operation in the education and research fields.
The agreement was signed by CAS dean Dr Eiman Mustafawi and the University of Copenhagen Faculty of Science dean Dr John Hansen in the presence of faculty members and officials from both institutions, as well as representatives of Maersk Oil Research & Technology (MORTC) Centre.
The terms of the agreement include collaboration in academic and research areas as well as faculty and laboratory staff exchanges for various instructional and training initiatives.
Dr Mustafawi said: “It will support QU’s vision to become a model national university in the region and promote Qatar National Vision 2030. It will also empower and engage students during their academic experience by building their capacities and preparing them to become experts, outstanding role models for future generations, and great ambassadors for the country.”
Dr Hansen said: “We are pleased to sign this agreement with Qatar University, which is one of the most prestigious universities.This partnership will help both institutions establish student exchange programmes and will deepen research co-operation in the fields of biological and environmental sciences.”
