Prime Minister meets ambassadors
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Canada, China, Poland and Japan – Andre Dubois, Gao Youzhen, Krzysztof Suprowicz, and Shingo Tsuda, respectively, in Doha yesterday. Aspects of co-operation and means of enhancing and developing bilateral relations in addition to issues of mutual concern were discussed.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Khalid Mohamed al-Attiyah received a telephone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry yesterday. They discussed the latest developments in Yemen.
Foreign Minister meets UN official
HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah met the visiting United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Co-ordinator Valerie Amos in Doha yesterday. They discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral relations as well as a number of issues of common interest.
Chief of Staff holds meetings
Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces, HE Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim met the visiting Chief of the Italian Air Force, Lieutenant General Pasquale Preziosa in Doha yesterday. Talks dealt with issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by Italy’s Ambassador to Qatar, Guido De Sanctis, and senior armed forces officials.
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces also met Air Defence Commander and Operations of Singapore, Brigadier Singh Kien yesterday. They exchanged views on matters of common interest.
NHRC chief meets ILO official
HE the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) Chairman Dr Ali bin Samikh al-Marri yesterday met Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry, director of the International Labour Standards Department at the International Labour Organisation (ILO). They discussed ways to enhance co-operation on issues of mutual interest and exchange of expertise in the field of human rights.
Emir greets Iranian president
HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent congratulatory cables to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on his country’s National Day.

Prince Charles, crown prince of the United Kingdom and Prince of Wales, will arrive in Doha today.
Finance Minister meets Iraqi counterpart
HE Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi met here yesterday with his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari, on the sidelines of his visit to Doha. Discussions during the meeting dealt with ways to develop ties between the two countries, especially in the fields of finance.
