Qatar’s Ambassador to Cyprus Hussein bin Ahmed al-Hemaid has opened the new office of Qatar Airways in the Cypriot capital Nicosia.
The opening ceremony was attended by Qatar Airways’ Senior Vice-President, North, South and Western Europe, Jonathan Harding, Manager of Qatar Airways office in Cyprus Teresa Cecil, representatives of Cypriot travel agencies and a number of Cypriot media representatives.
The ambassador expressed congratulations for the opening of the office wishing Qatar Airways further progress and success.
Harding thanked Ambassador al-Hemaid for opening the office which will promote tourism and travel between Qatar and Cyprus.
Al-Attiyah returns to Doha
HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah arrived in Doha yesterday after taking part in the 15th Delhi Sustainable Development Summit.
Justice minister forms tenders panel
HE the Minister of Justice Dr Hassan Lahdan Saqr al-Mohannadi issued a decision naming the members of the Tenders Committee at the ministry.
According to the decision, the committee will be chaired by Miftah Thamir al-Badi, while Said Abdullah al-Suwaidi will be vice-chairman.
Other members of the Committee are: Falastin Mubarak al-Sulaiti: member, Mohamed Rajab Mohamed Taqi: member, Ali Hassan al-Nuaimi: member, Hassan Mohamed al-Assadi: observer member
