HE the Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces, Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim, met in Doha yesterday with the visiting Australian Defence Force Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed issues of mutual interest, especially in the military field. At another meeting, the Chief of Staff discussed with Singapore’s Ambassador to Qatar Wong Kwok Pun a number of issues of joint interest.
GCC delegation in Doha talks
Cabinet Secretary-General HE Hamad bin Ahmed al-Muhannadi met in Doha yesterday with a joint delegation from the Fatwa and Legislation Department and the Legal and Legislative Affairs Sector at the GCC General Secretariat.
Minister meets CEO of SAP
HE the Administrative Development Minister, Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jaffali al-Nuaimi, met yesterday with Bill McDermott, CEO of SAP, the world’s leading business software company. The meeting discussed the progress of Government Resource Planning System (Mawarid) project. It was attended by a number of officials from the ministry and SAP.
Qatari team visits US today
A Qatari delegation headed by HE Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani will begin today a visit to the US. The delegation includes HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sharif al-Emadi; HE the Governor of Qatar Central Bank, Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud al-Thani; and HE the CEO of Qatar Investment Authority, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Finance yesterday said that the delegation will hold a number of meetings within the activities of Qatar-US Finance and Investment Forum.
