Under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Al Zaeem Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Atiyyah Air College will celebrate the graduation of the second batch of the military pilots on January 27, according to a report in Arrayah.
This year 26 pilots graduate from the college. The celebration at Al Adeed air base, will be attended by senior commanders and top other officials.
College Commander HE Brigadier (pilot) Salim Hamad al Nabit said that the graduate pilots will get the bachelor’s degree in aeronautical sciences and
military sciences.
The degrees are granted within the framework of the partnership between Al Zaeem College and the French University
“X Marseille’.
Brigadier al-Nabit said the college plans to expand its partnerships with oversea colleges specialised in this field. The college has the honour to bear the name of the founder of the modern Qatari army the late Al Zaeem (leader) Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Attiyah and owns the most modern training
aircraft PC 21.

Condolence cables sent

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani,  HH the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of condolences to Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on the death of his brother Moustafa Essebsi.


Aspetar Hospital wins first award

Aspetar Hospital has won the first award for its website representing Qatar at the Gulf Excellence Award Health Media 2014-2015, organised by the executive board of Health Ministers’ Council for GCC countries.
Ilham al-Naimi, acting director of public relations at the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), said that the award reflected the high standards of the website of Aspetar and its important role in spreading health awareness.
Prof Tawfeeq Bin Ahmed Khoja, general director of the executive office of GCC Council of Health Ministers and secretary general of the award, said that the award had received 139 entries.
